Job Description
Poetic Justice is seeking a skilled, part-time bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage essential financial duties, such as recording financial transactions, and processing payroll. We’re looking for someone with experience in non-profit accounting.

Job Responsibilities
Maintain financial transaction records by posting transactions, and ensuring legal compliance.
Maintain a chart of accounts that defines bookkeeping policies and procedures.
Prepare financial statements, such as ledgers, income statements, and balance sheets.
Utilize the appropriate accounting software to manage and automate financial tasks when relevant.
Running payroll for employees.
Oversight of incoming grants.
Pay and Hours
This is a part time contract position of 5-10 hours per week. You have the option of working remotely or at our office. The pay scale is variable depending on level of experience: $35-$50 per hour.
Requirements
Extensive experience with nonprofit bookkeeping, financials, and payroll.
