Job Summary
The Data Administrator is responsible for overseeing systems data quality in the council in order to ensure the data integrity of information needed for decision making at all levels of the organization. The incumbent regularly runs and reviews data quality reports to identify data quality issues, investigates root causes of data issues and works individually and in conjunction with specialists and management to implement corrective action. The administrator reports data quality status to management for action. This position assists with systems training for new and existing staff, including data quality training. The administrator performs functions related to creation, update and maintenance of council wide data in the system(s). The administrator will act as a technical system liaison between Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma users and GSUSA. The Data Administrator serves as the systems administrator for the council.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates as a project team member, completing data quality cleanups, assisting in business process and applications system user testing.
Administers council wide data integrity of systems and user account maintenance.
Conducts daily reviews of data quality reports, and takes or causes action to be taken to resolve data issues and problems. Performs identification and cleanup of duplicate Salesforce records and account issues.
Diagnoses system errors and creates solutions or workarounds.
Regularly reviews systems and processes to improve membership and volunteer experience.
Responsible for conducting staff application training (new, refresher and upgrades).
Assists in the creation and updating of detailed business and application procedures. Conducts user testing of new releases and functions in coordination with systems project and national systems support.
Works with other members of staff on more complex tasks..
Acts as technical system liaison between GSEOK users and GSUSA/host for Volunteer Systems and Looker, with the ability to identify, document and escalate system issues, and participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of same.
Monitors chatter threads to ensure awareness of issues, outages and updates.
Actively participates in GSUSA webinars (Data Quality, Mission Delivery, Analytics).
Fulfills scheduled and ad hoc data requests, often on very short notice.
Works with the product team to understand changing business process needs, and develop the necessary ETL processes to provide various initial load files and daily upload files to the third-party vendor systems during Fall Product and Cookie seasons.
Works closely with the staff-led and Girl Scouts Beyond Bars teams to register and renew girls participating in those programs and properly manage the related accounts.
Creates and maintains end user reports as needed in Volunteer Systems and Looker dashboard reports.
Performs wide range of membership order functions including research, creation, processing (both manual and Extract/Transform/Load batch uploads) ,cancellations, and refunds on a daily basis.
Manages council staff member okta access, profiles, permissions and access to all related applications, including Looker.
Manages volunteer access to Looker.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant verifiable work experience.
Previous CRM experience.
Proven documented ETL capability / experience.
Documented System Administrator experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Business technology expertise - strong user computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
Strong understanding of Data Management principles and standards, including naming conventions, referential integrity, etc..
Strong understanding of system interaction.
Advanced / Expert level Excel skills
Advanced / Developer level Looker / Tableau / Power BI skills and experience.
Advanced / Expert SQL skills
Ability to work independently and with others – both individually and in groups – customers and staff – mentor co-workers and volunteers.
Ability to thrive in an environment that requires constant, daily reprioritization of tasks to appropriately support co-workers, management, members and volunteers.
Exceptional project management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Physical and Schedule Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, occasional overnights as necessary, and ability to travel as job requires.
