United Way of Central Oklahoma is seeking an experienced and collaborative Director of Community Impact to lead our community investment process, cultivate strong nonprofit partnerships, and help ensure donor investments create measurable and lasting change throughout Central Oklahoma.
COMPENSATION & WORK STRUCTURE
Salary: Starting at $60,587
Merit Increases: Eligible for merit-based salary review yearly, subject to board approval and after 6 months in position.
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package valued at over $10,000 annually
Classification: Exempt, Full Time
Overtime: Not eligible for overtime pay
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position leads United Way of Central Oklahoma's community investment process and nonprofit partner engagement strategy. The Director of Community Impact oversees agency applications, financial reviews, volunteer-led funding recommendations, and partner relationships while ensuring transparency, accountability, measurable outcomes, and effective stewardship of donor investments. The role serves as a key liaison between United Way and community partners, helping align investments with community needs and organizational priorities.

Responsible for the integrity and effectiveness of the community investment process and serves as a disaster liaison for United Way and the communities we serve.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree with approval from the President/CEO.
A minimum of 3 years of experience managing and coordinating volunteers, facilitating collaboration with community-based organizations, and volunteering or working in community-based activities required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Teams, with demonstrated administrative and clerical skills.
Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Administrative and nonprofit experience preferred.
Experience reviewing budgets, financial information, and program outcomes preferred.
Prefer two or more years’ experience with United Way or other social service/planning organization.
One year experience with budgeting and in a supervisory role preferred.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate complex processes involving multiple volunteers, partner agencies, committees, and community stakeholders.
