The ideal candidate is a committed Christian with a passion for investing in the lives of high school students through mentorship, education, and life skills training. This individual will facilitate engaging life skills and character development classes while modeling Christian values in all interactions.
Provide mentoring and guidance for students assigned to the Jubilee Partners classroom in Wellston High School
Plan and teach life skills and character development classes in Wellston High School
Make weekly contact with select students at Wellston High School who are enrolled in the virtual learning program, offering mentoring, tutoring, and general advocacy for the students
Plan and teach Character Development classes in the pilot program at Carney Public Schools (2 hours a week)
Track student progress both in academics and behavior
Meet with Executive Director monthly regarding student behavior, facility needs, and program planning
This position requires an individual who is passionate about equipping young people with practical life skills, strong character, and hope for their future while serving as a positive Christian role model in both words and actions.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles.
Be an active member of a Church in a Christian denomination
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with adolescents in an educational, ministry, nonprofit, or mentoring setting.
Strong understanding of adolescent development and effective classroom management techniques.
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with high school students from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to pass all required background checks and child safety screenings.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching life skills, leadership, character education, or social-emotional learning.
Experience facilitating small groups or mentoring youth.
Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and restorative approaches.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Plan and deliver engaging life skills and character development lessons aligned with Jubilee Partners curriculum.
Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment.
Model integrity, compassion, responsibility, and other Christ-centered character qualities.
Mentor students through positive relationships and meaningful conversations.
Monitor student progress and provide encouragement and accountability.
Collaborate with school staff, volunteers, parents, and organizational leadership.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ministry events.
Maintain accurate attendance, program documentation, and required reports.
Pray for students and opportunities to support their spiritual, emotional, and personal growth.
